The quarter-final draws for the U17 League and Shield competitions has been made which features a Dublin derby clash between rivals Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians.
U17 League Quarter-Finals
The first of the U17 League quarter-finals sees Cork City make the long journey north to Finn Park to take on Finn Harps on Saturday 14th October (kick-off 2pm). The Rebel Army finished in third place in the Southern Elite Division whilst Harps managed one better with a second placed finish in the Northern league.
At 4pm on the same day, Dundalk travel south to the RSC to take on Waterford. The Louth men finished fourth in the Northern division and now face a Waterford side that topped the Southern equivalent.
The final two quarter-finals take place on Sunday 15th October, both with 2pm kick-offs and both taking place in Dublin. St. Patrick’s Athletic welcome Galway United to Richmond Park whilst it will be a Dublin derby clash in Tallaght Stadium as Shamrock Rovers entertain city rivals Bohemians.
U17 Shield Quarter-Finals
The first three quarter-finals all take place at 2pm on the 14th October.
Bray Wanderers recorded a 4-0 win over Drogheda United in the First Round of the Shield and now they must travel across the country to face Sligo Rovers in the Showgrounds.
Derry City also registered a 4-0 win in the previous round as they knocked Monaghan-Cavan out of the competition. They will face Shelbourne in the AUL. The Reds progressed through the First Round with a 2-1 win over UCD thanks to goals from Deiric Hyland and Eoin McPhillips.
Wexford, who beat Cobh Ramblers 2-1 in the last round, will face Athlone Town. Athlone reached the quarter-finals having overcome local rivals Longford Town thanks to a goal from Nashir Ishola.
The final game of the round takes place on Sunday 15th October as Limerick welcome Cabinteely to UL (kick-off 2pm). Limerick booked their spot in the quarter-finals with a 5-1 win over Kerry.
