Niall Newberry’s excellent report will be online shortly but from me Tom O Connor at a rocking Oriel Park it’s oíche mhaith and thanks for joining us. We’ll be back here on Friday and we hope you’ll join us!

90' + 3'
Crazy scoreline in a game which Dundalk totally dominated. An unfortunate own goal and a sublime pass from Dean Shiels to set up Fisk saw Derry win the second half in terms of the scoreline but Dundalk did enough in that memorable first half to clinch all three points and pretty much wrap up the league title.

90' + 3'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Dundalk and Derry City.

90' + 2'

Red Card

Kevin McHattie is sent off for Derry City.

90'
Three added minutes here as a bemused Oriel Park are gobsmacked following that Fisk strike. The Canadian found space down the inside left before rounding Rogers and firing home on the angle.

89'

GOAL!

Ben Fisk scores for Derry City.

86'

Substitution

Georgie Kelly replaces Patrick Hoban for Dundalk.

84'

Substitution

Ben Fisk replaces Adrian Delap for Derry City.

83'
Murray releases Connolly and Doherty beats his effort wide for an ultimately fruitless corner.

75'
That’s dampened spirits a bit though the potential result is still heavily loaded towards a Dundalk victory- Derry are coming out a bit but it’s almost too late. Nicky Low is making a difference in the middle.

70'

OWN GOAL!

Dean Jarvis has scored an own goal! Unfortunate own goal as Rogers saved well from Delap before the ball rebounded into the net off the luckless Jarvis.

62'

Substitution

Ronan Murray replaces Patrick McEleney for Dundalk.

61'

Substitution

Dylan Connolly replaces John Mountney for Dundalk.

60'
Attendance Alert 3176 at Oriel Park tonight to witness this spectacle. They’ve been well rewarded so far.

57'
WOW! McEleney with an unbelievable cross from deep, Hoban flew at it to nod home but Ger Doherty thrust out a palm to divert the ball onto the bar. Superb!

52'
Duffy’s free kick curls narrowly over as Derry continue their pattern of playing out from the back.

49'
Gannon wanders upfield and Hoban nods his excellent cross wide before miscuing a second effort following a Doherty goal kick. Third time lucky and the number nods home but this time he’s offside.

46'

Substitution

Nicky Low replaces Alistair Roy for Derry City.

46'

Substitution

Dean Shiels replaces Aaron McEneff for Derry City.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Dundalk and Derry City has started.

45'
As comprehensive a first half dominance as we’ve seen here at Oriel Park this season- contrasting team talks being given in the opposing dressing rooms now. Expect plenty of changes in the second half, and goals.

45'

Half Time

It is half-time between Dundalk and Derry City. A superb solo effort from Hoban to end the half and reach his quarter century of league goals for the season. The Loughrea man firing home from the edge of the area after picking up a ball forty yards from goal.

44'

GOAL!

Patrick Hoban scores for Dundalk.

42'
McEneff and Splaine collide in midfield and it sort of sums up Derry’s efforts this half.

37'
PING! Michael Duffy with a sensational effort which flashes wide- created out of nothing.

31'
Some beautiful football by the home side as Hoban, McEleney and Mountney combine for the Mayoman to rattle the outside of the net. Unlucky!

29'
Gannon feeds McGrath who shot over. Still a scrappy kind of game so far.

21'
A cutback from Duffy found the onrushing McEleney on the edge of the area. The number 11 composed himself to fire into the corner.

20'

GOAL!

Patrick McEleney scores for Dundalk.

20'

GOAL!

Patrick McEleney scores for Dundalk.

17'
A bit more detail on the goal. Jamie McGrath was fouled on the byline and Duffy hung a delicious free kick which Cleary crashed home from 6 yards.

16'

GOAL!

Daniel Cleary scores for Dundalk. Nodded in a Michael Duffy free kick.

15'
Closest we’ve come to a goal so far has been that Rogers save. It’s been a bit scrappy since.

9'
Splaine with a lovely ball to Delap and Gannon nods behind for a corner which Rogers fumbles and then redeems himself with a long range tip over Darren Cole heads the second corner over the bar!

4'
Looks like a 4-1-4-1 for Derry and a 4-2-3-1 for Dundalk. Hoban drags a shot harmlessly wide.

1'

Corner Kick

Dundalk have won a corner kick. Michael Duffy will take it.

1'

0'
Less than ten minutes away from kick off here as Nesun Dorma makes its now customary prelude to the match.

0'
Fifteen minutes to go and the atmosphere is building- we've drummers entertaining the crowd and The Shed is filling up nicely!!

0'
Half an hour to go and the teams are in! Three changes for Dundalk as Cleary, Jarvis and McGrath replace Gartland, Massey and Benson. Derry remain unchanged following their defeat to Bohs at the weekend.

0'
Good evening and welcome to tonight's Live Updates from Oriel Park. Tom O'Connor (@boscoisalive) at the controls here for what Dundalk fans will hope to be the victory which sees the Lilywhites regain the title in all but a virtual mathematical impossibility. The teams should be available soon and will appear on your screen.
